Hi. xxx Tilda With Summer Pants.

I made this card a few weeks ago.
When the weather was beautiful here in the UK.
I saw this wonderful Magnolia stamp, and my enthusiasm kicked in again.
I just adore her!! I think she's my very fav Magnolia stamp.

Just kept it quite plain again.
A bit of embossing and Bob's your Uncle.

And matted her onto some beautiful blue Stampin Up cardstock ;)
Then Embossed one of the Tim Holtz classic favorites stamps on Kraft cardstock.

I hope you can join us this fortnight @ A Creative Romance we love seeing your wonderful makes.
Have a great weekend.

Hello again ;)

So I've missed my colouring too much. I couldn't stay away!
I had fun colouring pink lemonade Tilda :)
I keep coming back to my Tildas, I just can't live without them.
Even though my cards will be quite plain from now as I flogged a lot of crafty stuff.
Maybe it's a good idea to keep my cards plain.

I'm learning to crochet at the moment, and I'm finding it quite a challenge!
There's me thinking it would be easy, but I'm learning a little each day and I'm slowly getting the hang of the basics.
I only wish I had learnt years ago, so many gorgeous things to make :x

I've coloured Pink Lemonade Tilda with watercolour pencils.
The outside of my very crudely cut heart is coated with Stampendous frantage gold lux mix (micas&glitters)

Then sat her on the Doohickey shell.

And used some of the fab new Doohickeys from the Magnolia die club kit for the scene.

Midweek Magnolias {easel card}

Morning :)
Hope life's treating you well.
Today I'm here with my Midweek Magnolias DT card.
We would love for you to come and join us this fortnight and the theme is to make an easel card.
And you have a chance to win a fabby prize from the one and only Magnolia!
I don't make many of these, I think I only ever done three at the most.
I've used Leo Tilda and masked out her tail, then masked her sitting on the Magnolia couch.
It wasn't until I'd coloured the couch that I realized that she really should be sitting behind something doh! 8-}

I used my lovely new Stempelglede stamps on this card.
And masked some silver texture paste around my  image.

The gorg shabby bark heart is also from Sandy @ love and love.

Thanks for looking today. Please pop over and take a look at my fellow DT's wonderful easel makes.
Love, Mel. xxx

Creative Blog Hop.

Questions and Answers for the Creative Blog Hop

I've been asked by a lovely friend Dawn to take part in this Creative Blog Hop.  It is a continuous blog hop showcasing some fabulous people and their blogs - I am sure you will enjoy the journey.
So first off I have to answer a few questions about me and my work.
1. What am I working on?
I’m working on my ACreative Romance DT project at the mo.
Trying to decide which Magnolia stamp to use???

2. How does my work differ from others in my genre?
Urmm that’s so hard to answer!!
I don’t think anything I do is out of the norm, I wish I could say it was!! I look at all the beautiful projects out there, and if I really love something I give it a try. I like to concentrate more on colouring now and I’m going for the less is more look, after some advice given to me in the past. Mind you saying that my Doohickey club dies came last week and I'm sure I will go overboard with them on my DT card!

3. Why do I create what I do?
To keep me sane! And so I can colour! I love colouring it keeps me entertained.
Even though I have the attention span of a nat, colouring seems to keep me happy.

4. How does your creative process work?
I always start with my image. And then pick my papers and dies.
I cut out my shapes and then colour. I don’t go info anything to complicated.
Even though I love to look at all the really amazing makes out there in blogland, I don’t have the patience to sit and make anything wonderful like that.
I’m a flitter, I do a bit here and a bit there, whilst popping on the laptop to play candy crush! SAD I know! ;) but I am enjoying the sunny weather, so I'm not crafting so much at the mo.

I’m only going to nominate one lovely lady to keep this blog hop going.
My lovely friend Christa kindly agreed to keep the blog hop going.
I’m happy that Christa said yes. So please pop by next Monday and take a peek at Christa's Answers.

Thanks so much for popping by, have a lovely day.
